Freedom of Speech gives every American a voice to be heard whether it's right or wrong. For example, recently President Trump said some words about the NFL players needing to be fired. Those players decided to rally against the President and take a knee during the football games. Both President Trump and the football players used their freedom of speech to do this whether we the people liked it or not. Freedom of Speech allows Americans who believe in a cause to rally, speak out, and protest. The government does not have the right to punish people for speaking out. I think freedom of speech is an important constitutional amendment because when we stop and listen to other people's thoughts and opinions, we can learn something and possibly make a difference in this world.
