The Independence Blue Cross RiverRink Winterfest has been one of Philly's favorite Winter outdoor activities for many years. Located at Penn's Landing, the ice skating rink is one of Philly's go to spots for seasonal fun along the Waterfront.
Winterfest is free and open to the public everyday in season, including holidays. There is a fee to enjoy ice skating, and there are skate rentals offered on site.
The seasonal winter park includes a winter landscape, cool ice skating rink, outdoor seating area with fire pits, warming cabins, the Franklin Fountain Confectionery Cabin, an arcade, and ski chalet-like Lodge, as well as food and beverages from Chickie's and Pete's and Garces.
The game room is a fan favorite of kids and all those young at heart.
The Blue Cross River Rink Winterfest is an annual seasonal operation from late November to early March.
